This project was developed as part of my Digital Media in Education (ETEC 665) coursework in Fall 2024. It was focused on using design principles and branding to create an infographic and job aid.
I took on the fictional role of an instructional designer working at Canada Post and created two deliverables. The first, an infographic that outlined how instructional designers can effectively incorporate AI into the creation and development of instructional materials. The second, a job aid that highlighted an AI tool that instructional designers could used to enhance the creation of instructional materials.

While designing both the job aid and the infographic, I had to ensure that I was following the branding guidelines that I was given for Canada Post. I spent a lot of time balancing the brand colours according to their ratios and making sure that a certain percentage of white space was used.
For the infographic, I did research online and compiled a list of the different ways in which AI was being used to create instructional materials. I then narrowed it down to the top five and included those in the infographic with a short description.
For the job aid, I choose an AI tool called Boords.com to help with storyboarding, which is a process that I find time consuming to do when I start to represent ideas in my head on paper.
